How the Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) Therapy is Performed?

PRP treatment mainly consists of 3 steps.

The first step of this procedure is to perform blood drawn from the patient’s arm as standard.

Then, the tube containing the patient’s blood is placed in a machine called centrifuge. After 10 minutes of spin of the centrifuge machine, the components in the blood are separated from each other as red blood cell, platelet – poor plasma and platelet – rich plasma.

After that, the layer of platelet – rich plasma is drawn into a syringe. Then the solution in this syringe is injected into the scalp where the hair is reduced. However, this process should be done by highly experienced persons such as experts in our clinic. Because, in order to obtain accurate results in PRP method, injections should be done meticulously about every 25 centimeter in the hair spilled area.
